The Idaho Honey Industry Association is a non-profit member organization which represents commercial and hobbyist beekeepers in Idaho. Idaho currently registers over 124,000 colonies of bees and is viewed as a major honey-producing state.
The Idaho Honey Industry Association is dedicated to education, research, and promotion of the honey industry in the Gem State. Members live throughout the state. A number of commercial beekeepers in Idaho transport honey bees annually to California for the purpose of pollinating fruits and nuts. A honey bee is the only insect that produces food for human consumption and approximately one-third of our total food supply.
Annually, the Idaho Honey industry Association holds a conference for the assembly of members and dissemination of information related to the bee and honey industry in Idaho.
